Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Five Things From. This time we are looking back at season 4 episode 8 of Community, Herstory of Dance. Which five things stood out and for what reasons? Let’s take a closer look…

  1. Dean Fashion

The mandatory Dean fashion section gets spot number one this week. His black and white outfit made him look like someone straight out of an old photo or film! It was so well-done but also really weird…but not as weird as he looked in a suit and tie later on!

2. Shirley dropping knowledge

Shirley’s view of finding a blind-date for Abed only being a competition for the loser highlighted just how confident she was. In her mind it wasn’t even a competition as she saw her victory as so much of  a sure-fire inevitability. The whole thing with Abed was more fun than I thought it would be because they openly acknowledged how much they were playing into the “two simultaneous dates” sitcom trope.

3. Colin

In this episode Chang was branded the “Colin Farrell of people”. Now first of all are they suggest here that Colin Farrell isn’t even a person? Also, was he not liked in America at this time? I haven’t really seen much with him in but haven’t heard too many things about him good or bad. Now Colin Firth on the other hand, that is an actor called Colin I can enjoy.

4. Weirdness

Is talking into a balloon a thing? That was way too weird for me if I was set up on that date. The scooter flipping though? She set that scooter up quickly and without hassle. That’s the kind of thing that impresses a date.

5. Care

Pierce wasn’t a jerk come the end of all this! It caught me off guard: he genuinely cared about Brita’s feelings. Who knew he had it in him?
